Over recent years, there has been a lot of research carried out in the field of superfoods. This research focuses mainly on looking at the nutrient density of certain wholefoods. While the concept of “superfoods” my still be controversial, there is mounting evidence that shows some foods do have particularly high levels of nutrients considered important to human health. By eating more of these nutrient-dense foods, we can be sure that we are getting certain levels of nutrition that we might miss out on.
