We’re very pleased to present the list of stories selected for inclusion in our Aphrodite book! Publishing in June 2025 (July in North America), this new book features a foreword by Anja Ulbrich and an extended introduction by Stephanie Budin, covering the early myths, representations and perceptions through history of the Greek goddess of love and beauty. Seventeen stories, all of which are new for this volume, explore the fascinating figure of Aphrodite and her relevance in today’s world. The anthology joins a number of previous books in the series, including titles on Medusa and Circe, and we’re thankful again for all who submitted stories for consideration. About the Series
Discover the mythology of humankind through its heroes, characters, gods and immortal figures. Myths, Gods and Immortals brings together the new and the ancient, familiar stories with a fresh and imaginative twist. Each book brings back to life a legendary, mythological or folkloric figure, with completely new stories alongside the original tales and a 30,000-word essay which emphasises ancient and modern connections, tracing history and stories across continents, cultures and peoples. New and emerging writers from open submissions reveal hidden themes, casting fresh perspectives on well-known stories, alongside the specially commissioned story of the origins and the cultural background from the era. Titles in the series so far are Medusa, Odin, Anansi, Circe, Morgana le Fay and Achilles.
This book will be available to buy from June 2025 via book stores, Amazon, and our website page for Aphrodite!
