We’re delighted to present the  contents list  for our upcoming  Crime anthology,  Music of the Night , the second title in collaboration with the Crime Writers' Association (CWA) !  Music of the Night will feature original short stories contributed by CWA members and edited by Martin Edwards, with music as the connecting theme. The aim, as always is to produce a book that is representative both of the genre and the membership of the world’s premier crime writing association.

We’re very pleased to announce the successful authors for our latest collection: Chilling Crime Short Stories. Combining brand new and recent stories with classic fiction from the history of literature, this anthology includes a foreword by Margaret Murphy and is due for release in October (UK) and December 2021 (USA/Canada). Many thanks to all authors who submitted stories for consideration to this theme, and congratulations to the below!

We’re delighted to present the  contents list for our upcoming  FLAME TREE PRESS Horror anthology,  Beyond the Veil, the second title in collaboration with editor  Mark Morris. The follow-up to last year's After Sundown, praised by Booklist as a ‘ rich and masterful collection of horror’, it will be available from October 2021 (in time for Halloween)! This new anthology contains 20 original horror stories, 16 of which have been commissioned from some of the top names in the genre, and 4 of which have been selected from the 100s of stories sent to Flame Tree during a 2-week open  submissions window.

We’re delighted to present the final line-up of authors in our Terrifying Ghosts Short Stories anthology, due for release in April 2021 (UK) and June 2021 (US). As one of the latest titles in our Gothic Fantasy series, this new collection similarly pairs stories from modern authors with older, classic fiction from the genre. We received nearly a thousand stories in our call for submissions on this theme, so after several months narrowing down the selection we are excited to share the results! Our thanks go once again to everyone who submitted, with congratulations to the below:

We are now open for submissions for two exciting new anthologies: Detective Thrillers and A Dying Planet. Due to be published in early 2020, these add to our Gothic Fantasy series, which includes existing titles like Supernatural Horror, Robots & Artificial Intelligence, Dystopia Utopia, American Gothic and more. Again, we are looking for around twenty to thirty short stories by contemporary writers to complement a selection of classic tales in these anthologies. We are keen to encourage new writers, without prejudice to age, background or previous publication history. It’s the story that matters, and the quality of writing.
