It is with great excitement that we reveal the list of authors in our Compelling Science Fiction book! With new and recent stories by contemporary authors, as well as classic fiction from the genre, this is a collection not to be missed. We’re delighted with the line-up, which has been made in close collaboration with Joe Stech, foreword writer and consultant editor of this anthology and publisher of the Compelling Science Fiction magazine. In keeping with other books in the series, the collection combines new and recent fiction with work from classic authors of the genre. To celebrate its release into the world, we’ve been in touch with the modern authors to ask a few questions about their ways of working, influences, and their story in the book. On the classic side, the book includes thought-provoking work by Martin R. Delany, Sutton E. Griggs, Pauline Hopkins and Edward Johnson, as well as ‘The Comet’ by W.E.B. Du Bois. Last week, the collection’s modern authors discussed the inspiration behind their stories in the book, in Part 1 of the Author Q&A.
