Today we are taking the opportunity to look ahead to our upcoming releases. It's a busy two month's with seven releases from Flame Tree Press. We have new sci-fi stories, new thriller titles and lots of great new horror! We also have a few new to Flame Tree titles that we can't wait to bring to new audiences! We've got some absolutely brilliant books coming up and we can't wait to share them with you!

Continuing in our launch week Q&As for our April releases, we talked to P.D. Cacek! She told us about her new book, Second Lives, her advice for new writers and the art of being edited!

Today marks the release of our April titles! To celebrate, we've got a great Q&A with Jonathan Janz, author of the The Dark Game. He talked to us about his new book, his inspirations, his writing practices and his advice for being edited! 

This week marks the launch of three new titles for Flame Tree Press. We have brand new horror from Jonathan Janz and his book The Dark Game. We also have an amazing new novel from P.D. Cacek with Second Lives so make sure to look out for Q&As with both of those authors this week! Today we are looking at The Hungry Moon from Ramsey Campbell, a new to Flame Tree horror novel. Check out what Ramsey thinks of the book, why he writes horror and how he responds to people that say there's too much horror in the world already!

Pet Sematary is a story that needs little introduction. If you know the book, and know the story, you already know what’s coming and it’s more about how the filmmakers execute it. If you don’t know what’s coming then the less you know going in, the better. Filled with every kind of horror you could want, Pet Sematary makes an incredible basis for a horror film and has earned itself the title of the book that scared Stephen King the most when writing it. For years Pet Sematary was an incredible book with a really middling film adaptation, but with the wave of great King adaptations in recent times, there was hope that this film might live up to the book.

Today we are looking ahead to our upcoming releases. Over the next two months we'll have amazing new scifi novels, some excellent new horror and a few brilliant new to Flame Tree titles too! We've got some absolutely great titles coming up and we can't wait to share them with you!

Continuing our blogs looking at the authors behind our March releases, we turn to Michael R Johnston and The widening Gyre. He talked to us about being a teacher, the hardship of creating characters and the importance of representation in his novels.

We are now open for submissions for two exciting new anthologies: Detective Mysteries and Epic Fantasy. Due to be published in September 2019, these add to our Gothic Fantasy series, which includes existing titles like Supernatural Horror, Robots & Artificial Intelligence, Dystopia Utopia, American Gothic and more. Again, we are looking for around twenty to thirty short stories by contemporary writers to complement a selection of classic tales in these anthologies. We are keen to encourage new writers, without prejudice to age, background or previous publication history. It’s the story that matters, and the quality of writing.
