We’re delighted to present the  contents list for our upcoming  FLAME TREE PRESS Horror anthology, Close to Midnight, the third title in collaboration with editor Mark Morris. The follow-up to his previous two titles Beyond the Veil and After Sundown, it will be available from October 2022 (in time for Halloween)! This new anthology contains 20 original horror stories, 16 of which have been commissioned from some of the top names in the genre, and 4 of which have been selected from the 100s of stories sent to Flame Tree during a 2-week open  submissions window.

It is with great excitement that we reveal the list of authors in our upcoming Weird Horror Short Stories book! With a foreword by Mike Ashley, the anthology includes new, previously unpublished fiction, recent work by modern authors, and older classic tales exploring the roots of this fascinating genre. Our latest short story anthology, Chilling Crime Short Stories, is out today in the USA and Canada! In keeping with other books in the series, the collection combines new and recent fiction with work from classic authors of the genre. To celebrate its release into the world, we’ve been in touch with the modern authors to ask a few questions about their ways of working, influences, and their story in the book. Hari Kumar, an introduction by ghostly expert and enthusiast Dr. Luo Hui, and an Associate Editor in the form of award-winning author-editor Lee Murray, this collection combines older works with retellings and fresh stories by contemporary Asian voices. We’re delighted to present the  contents list  for our upcoming  Crime anthology,  Music of the Night , the second title in collaboration with the Crime Writers' Association (CWA) !  Music of the Night will feature original short stories contributed by CWA members and edited by Martin Edwards, with music as the connecting theme. The aim, as always is to produce a book that is representative both of the genre and the membership of the world’s premier crime writing association.
